Are Dental Bridges for you?

A bridge is usually made from a porcelain and precious metal blend. It is important to replace missing teeth – not only to improve the appearance of your smile – but to prevent the weakening of the teeth either side, decay and gum disease caused by trapped food particles, or alterations to your bite. Your dentist will help you to choose the best method to replace any missing teeth you may have.

How long will a dental bridge last?

Some experts say that a dental bridge may last for just 5 – 7 years. However, others offer a different opinion and say that a bridge can easily last for 10 – 15 years. With proper care, it is even possible that a bridge could last a lifetime.

How are dental bridges attached?

In the dental bridge procedure, your abutment teeth are trimmed, then impressions and molds are taken of your teeth, and a dental bridge is built. The crowns will fit perfectly over your trimmed teeth, and are permanently attached using dental cement. Then, they hold your false teeth into place, restoring your smile.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! We can welcome new, private patients to Sharoe Green, including children. As a private practice we do not offer a NHS service.

How quickly can you see me?

We pride ourselves in getting new patients seen quickly. Emergency slots are scheduled into the diary and no new or existing patient should find themselves waiting too long to be seen.

I've got a dental emergency, what should I do?

During normal hours call the practice to gain advice or book an appointment. Outside of working hours, follow the instructions on our voicemail. If urgent don't hesitate to call urgent care.
