I saw Raees and Sarah today for my fist treatment with this practice. In the past I have had some questionable dentists who did work on my teeth without freezing them, so going to the dentist can be a bit scary for me. However they was so nice and reassuring and I didn't feel a thing. They were both so welcoming and kind and just really really nice people and put me totally at ease. What causes White Spots and/or Mottling?

White spots on the teeth are very common and can have many causes including:

Fluorosis – a high fluoride intake as a child when the adult teeth are developing

Decalcification – the loss of the mineral element from the enamel that can occur during fixed brace treatment if there has been a lapse in the standard of oral hygiene around the orthodontic brackets.

Childhood illness or trauma to the adult teeth.

Traditionally these white spots would have to be covered with either composite filling material or porcelain veneers. Both of these treatment options usually require drilling and injections to remove the white part of tooth and are thus destructive, as the teeth in question are actually still healthy. The beauty of Icon treatment is that it requires none of these things but using the scientific process of resin infiltration allows the white spot to blend in with the surrounding tooth to provide a beautiful and aesthetic smile.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! We can welcome new, private patients to Sharoe Green, including children. As a private practice we do not offer a NHS service.

How quickly can you see me?

We pride ourselves in getting new patients seen quickly. Emergency slots are scheduled into the diary and no new or existing patient should find themselves waiting too long to be seen.

I've got a dental emergency, what should I do?

During normal hours call the practice to gain advice or book an appointment. Outside of working hours, follow the instructions on our voicemail. If urgent don't hesitate to call urgent care.
